Veteran Bollywood actress Reema Lagoo passed away at the age of 59 after reportedly suffering from cardiac arrest. Bollywood celebs offered their condolences on social media.

Bollywood actress Reema Lagoo who is famous for her role as Salman Khan's on-screen mother in various Rajshree movies, passed away at the age of 59 after reportedly suffering from cardiac arrest.

After the actress complained of chest pain on Wednesday night, she was rushed to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital in Andheri, Mumbai where she breathed her last.

Reema Lagoo started her career in Hindi and Marathi films in the late 1970s and early 80s. She is best known for her role in TV serials 'Tu Tu Main Main' and 'Shriman Shrimati'.

Karan Johar described her as an exceptional actor.

Madhuri Dixit, who worked with Reema Lagoo in Bollywood's most iconic movie 'Hum Aapke Hai Kaun' offered her condolences.

Rishi Kapoor, who has worked with her in many movies, offered his condolences and Tweeted, "RIP. Worked in quite a few films. Reema Lagoo. Good friend. Heartfelt condolences."

Mahesh Bhatt also bid farewell to this brilliant actress. He Tweeted, "We said goodbye to one another after making a promise to meet soon. That never happened . We think we have time.We don't!!Goodbye Reemaji."

Paresh Rawal remembered her endearing and positive persona. He tweeted, "Reema lagoo an endearing n positive persona . A friend n a colleague since theatre days . RIP ."
