Twinkle Khanna was last seen in Bollywood in 2001 in Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega. She acted in movies like Jab Pyaar Kisi Se Hota Hai and Mela but her career never took off. She got married to Akshay Kumar and left her Bollywood career to focus on her family. Later she pursued a career in Interior Decoration and also film production by serving as a co-producer on Tees Maar Khan, Thank You, Patiala House and Holiday: A Soldier is Never Off Duty, featuring her husband Akshay Kumar. She later became a columnist in 2014.
Twinkle Khanna went on to become a bestselling author with the eponymous Mrs Funnybones hitting stands last year. It was followed her fiction debut, The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad, which released last month.
According to MumbaiMirror, Twinkle Khanna has conceptualized her first film with director R Balki and it will feature her husband Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte in the lead roles. Amitabh Bachchan will be making a special appearance in the film. The movie will be the debut film for Twinkle Khanna's production house, Mrs. Funnybones Movies.
