The sequel to Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai has received mostly positive reviews from film critics and this has helped this Salman Khan starrer rake in good numbers on the opening day. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Tiger Zinda Hai stars Salman Khan as Tiger and Katrina Kaif as Zoya. Iranian actor Sajjad Delfrooz appears as Abu Usman in the movie. Paresh Rawal plays Firdauz aka Tohbaan.
According to BoxOfficeIndia, "Tiger Zinda Hai had the fifth highest opening day of all time but as can be seen with the chart below it is surrounded by films which have a holiday and all are big national holiday. The only ones without a holiday are Bahubali - The Conclusion, Tiger Zinda Hai and Dhoom 3. In terms of Salman Khan starrers its the third highest opener after Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and Sultan."
