The story for Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has been leaked online. According to reports, Shah Rukh Khan plays Aishwarya Rai's husband who dies in the film and it is after his death that Aishwarya Rai gets close to Ranbir Kapoor's character. Ranbir plays a singer in the film. Interestingly. Saif Ali Khan was earlier considered for SRK's role but it later went to Karan Johar's bestie Shahrukh Khan.
Anushka Sharma and Fawad Khan also have important roles in the film. It was earlier reported that Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is loosely based on Yash Chopra's 1977 film Doosra Aadmi starring Neetu Singh, Rakhee, Shashi and Rishi Kapoor, however Karan Johar has denied such reports. We will have to only wait for the movie's release to now how true the news is.
