Shobhaa De fatshames a Cop from M.P. assuming that he was from Mumbai. Mumbai police responds sternly on Twitter.

Author-Columnist Shobhaa De always finds herself in controversies. On the day of Municipal Elections in Mumbai, Shobha De shared a picture of an overweight policeman on her Twitter handle and captioned it '‘Heavy police bandobast in Mumbai today!.’'

Sadly for her, the cop was actually from M.P and not from Maharashtra. Her post didn’t go down well with the Mumbai Police, who not only responded to the tweet but also gave a stern message along with it. Mumbai police responded with a Tweet 'We love puns too Ms De but this one is totally misplaced. Uniform/Official not ours. We expect better from responsible citizens like you."

Shobha Day responded to the Tweet realizing her mistake. She tweeted back with 'Mumbai/Maharashtra Police, pranaam. No offence intended. M.P. police, consult a dietician,if it's an asli ,undoctored image doing the rounds'.
