Ashutosh Gowariker is really struggling to prove his worth. Most of his Bollywood movies have bombed at the box-office. His 2016 movie with Hrithik Roshan, Mohenjo Daro, left without a trace. Watching his movies makes us feel that the director is still using the 90s formula and hasn't moved according to the fans' taste. People don't like to watch over-the-top melodramatic movies nowadays, but Ashutosh Gowariker still uses the 90s style of film making. After watching his movies, we feel that Lagaan's credit should actually go to Aamir Khan, who definitely would have improvised the movie directed by Ashutosh.
Moving on, Ashutosh is going back in time it seems for another round, according to a report in DNA. The report states that he is planning to make a movie based on a real-life historical battle, though the details are yet unknown. But the report gave a clue about when it has been fought - between 16th and 18th centuries. The war was said to be one of most fiercely fought ones and it was fought thrice over the years.
Ashutosh is considering Arjun Kapoor as the lead in the movie as also Sanjay Dutt for an importat role. If things works out, this would be the first time Arjun Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt would be acting in an Ashutosh Gowariker movie.
