Not all is well between Raveena Tandon and CBFC India over her upcoming movie Maatr. Read more.

Raveena Tandon's much awaited comeback movie Maatr has landed in trouble with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

The reason for this is that Maatr talks about the sensitive issue of rape and therefore it was reportedly refused certification owing to some gruesome scenes that were deemed inappropriate for viewing by the Board.

This decision has not gone down well with Raveena Tandon. Talking to a leading daily, Raveena asserted that the Censor Board is bound by "archaic laws" and it should consider changing with the times. She further went on to say that a film like 'Maatr' needs to be told without sugarcoating the content. Raveena also added that if we don't show the reality, then the audience will remain indifferent to brutality and rape will still remain a taboo.
