It has a mission to end extreme poverty by 2030, because of the collective actions of Global Citizens across the world.

Global Citizen is headquartered in New York, with offices in Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom. The organization was co-founded by Hugh Evans, Simon Moss, Wei Soo in 2008.

The Global Citizen Festival is an action-rewarded, awareness driven free music festival where fans engage with causes in order to win tickets. This years 2016 Global Citizen Festival is taking place on September 24th, in NYC’s Central Park.
