Mithun Chakraborty’s son, Mahaakshay Chakraborty and veteran actor’s wife, Yogeeta Bali are in the news these days for various legal reasons. For the uninitiated ones, Mahaakshay and Yogeeta Bali have been accused on charges of rape and misconduct. On Saturday, Mithun Chakraborty and Yogita Bali’s son, Mahaakshay (Mimoh), was supposed to tie the knot with South actress Madalsa Sharma. But then reports came in that the ceremony got canceled following the arrival of a police team to investigate a complaint of rape and cheating filed by a woman against Mimoh.
Last week, the Bombay High Court had rejected Mimoh and Yogeeta’s bail plea, following which the duo moved the Rohini court (Delhi), which granted them interim bail. A source close to Mimoh’s family told BT, “The couple and their families had a small celebration on July 7, after Mimoh secured bail. In fact, Mimoh and Madalsa’s marriage was registered on the same day, and a traditional wedding will take place today. A sangeet ceremony took place yesterday (Monday). The guest list was considerably shortened after the complaint.”
In her plea, the complainant had alleged that Mahaakshay had cheated and raped her after being in physical relation with her for around four years on the pretext of marriage. The woman alleged that when she became pregnant, Mahaakshay had given her some medicine which led to an abortion. In her complaint, she claimed that Bali had threatened her of dire consequences if she continued the relationship. The complainant also said she moved to Delhi from Mumbai as she feared for her life in view of threats made by Bali and her son.
