Bollywood biopic M.S. Dhoni - The Untold Story has collected over Rs. 66 Crore in the first 3 days. The movie was made on a budget of approx Rs. 105 Crore.

Bollywood movie M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story featuring Sushant Singh Rajput in the lead role is ruling the box office now. The movie managed to collect Rs. 66 Crore in the first 3 days.

MS Dhoni: The Untold Story collected Rs 24.10 crore at Indian box office on 3rd day, taking its 1st weekend domestic collections to Rs 66 crore. The movie was made on a budget of over Rs. 105 Crore and therefore it needs to earn to be declared a hit.

The movie has recovered around Rs. 10 Crore for its music rights and the TV Rights for this film will fetch around 30 to 35 Crore so this leaves the makers with Rs. 70 Crore that they need to recover. The film has already collected around 66 Crore and is all set to be declared a hit.

Directed by Neeraj Pandey, the biopic on cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni has had a record opening and collected Rs 21.30 crore nett at the Indian box office on the first day. The movie became the second biggest Bollywood opener of 2016 after Salman Khan's Sultan.

Bollywood analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted: "#MSDhoniTheUntoldStory is SENSATIONAL... Packs a SOLID total... Fri 21.30 cr, Sat 20.60 cr, Sun 24.10 cr. Total: ₹ 66 cr. India biz."

With a strong word of mouth, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story is expected to continue its winning streak at the box office in the 2nd week as well. The much awaited Mirzya releases this Friday and it is bound it eat up some of Dhoni's business.
