Bollywood movie 'Lipstick Under My Burkha' can now be called a successful film commercially as it grossed more on Monday than it did on Friday.

According to BoxOfficeIndia report, the first week total of the movie will be close to Rs. 10 Crore Nett and the film is expected to do well further so as to easily recover its production and promotional cost from its theatrical run itself.

Lipstick Under My Burkha is directed by Alankrita Shrivastava and stars Konkona Sen Sharma, Ratna Pathak, Aahana Kumra and Plabita Borthakur in lead roles along with Sushant Singh, Vikrant Massey, Shashank Arora, Vaibhav Tatwawaadi and Jagat Singh Solanki in supportive roles.

The film premiered at the Tokyo and Mumbai Film Festivals, where it won the Spirit of Asia Prize and the Oxfam Award for Best Film on Gender Equality.
