Vidya Balan's Kahaani 2 had a very poor first week collections as it managed to gross only Rs. 23.75 Crore Nett. It had a poor start on Friday last week but jumped over the weekend a bit but post Sunday, the collections came down badly. Kahaani 2 will be added to the list of flop sequels of 2016. Rock On 2, Force 2 and Tum Bin 2 were the other flop sequels released this year.

On the other hand, Dear Zindagi continued its strong run in the second week as well. In its second week, the film managed to rake in the same amount of money as Kahaani 2 managed in its first week
