A change in the release date schedule may lead to Sridevi’s beti making an appearance at the box office before Saif-Amrita’s daughter Sara Ali Khan. Sara Ali Khan will make her Bollywood debut opposite Sushant Singh Rajput in Abhishek Kapoor’s Kedarnath. Jhanvi Kapoor will make her Bollywood debut in the remake of Marathi movie Sairat opposite Shahid Kapoor’s younger brother, Ishaan Khatter.
Jhanvi Kapoor's Sairat remake will release in July or July, 2018. Sara ali Khan's Kedarnath will release on December 21, 2018 and will be directed by Abhishek Kapoor. Producer Arjun N. Kapoor of KriArj Entertainment said in a statement: "December 21 offers us a long run at the box office with the Christmas and New Year holidays. Apart from a successful partnership between Abhishek Kapoor and Sushant Singh Rajput, the film also marks Sara Ali Khan's debut and releasing the film during this period will give her the launch platform she deserves. The film is their tribute to Lord Shiva as it is an intense love story born in Kedarnath. Kedarnath is fondly known as the shelter place of Lord Shiva and this beautiful story unfolds against this picturesque background".
