Deepika was recently photographed shooting for the Iranian Filmmaker Majid Majidi's next movie. The first look of Deepika Padukone from the test scene showed her in a de-glam avataar. Majidi is known for his award-winning movies like The Color of Paradise and Muhammad.

We’ve now learned from a reliable source that Deepika Padukone was rejected after the first test. Though she did give the test, things didn’t work out between her and the director. The actress was eventually dropped for the role. It is confirmed that Shahid Kapoor's younger brother, Ishaan Khattar, will be making his debut with the movie. If Deepika Padukone were to be selected for Majidi's film then she would have been seen playing Ishaan’s on-screen sister.
