IMPPA Bans Pakistani Artistes

With relations between the two hostile neighbors deteriorating, Indian Motion Picture Producers' Association bans Pakistani artistes.

After the Indian Military carried out surgical strike across the Line of Control, India's oldest and largest film producers association, Indian Motion Picture Producers' Association (IMPPA), on Thursday passed a resolution banning Pakistani artistes from working India.

The decision to impose a ban on Pakistani artistes came after Pakistani singer Rahat Fteh Ali Khan and actor Fawad Khan ignored IMPPA president's appeal asking them to condemn the killing of 18 soldiers in the Uri attack.

It is to be noted that Zee TV's Zindagi channel has decided to stop airing Pakistani dramas on its channel.

Pakistani actor Fawad Khan has already fled to Pakistan due to security reasons after a political party in India asked Pakistani artists to leave India. Fawad Khan won't be seen promoting his big budget Bollywood movie Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.

There is a public outrage in India over Pakistan Govt. and its Army training and sending militants from Pakistan to India to kill innocent people. Pakistan wants the state of Kashmir and the state rightfully belongs to India as the King of Kashmir had decided to merge its state with India soon after India's independence. Pakistan tried to conquer Kashmir illegally by waging several wars with India. It lost all the wars against India. Realizing the fact that it cannot defeat India militarily, economically or diplomatically, Pakistan started waging a proxy war by sending terrorists to India to wage a war. It even sheltered the mastermind of 9/11 tragedy - Osama Bin Laden. It kept denying that Osama was in Pakistan until USA raided his Abottabad residence in Pakistan and killed Osama.

We all hope that Pakistan gives up terrorism as its state policy and normalize its relationship with India so we can see our favorite Pakistani artistes in India. Pakistani singers like Atif Aslam and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan are extremely popular in India.
