Maliak Arora was born on August 23, 2016 in Thane, Mumbai. She was born to Joyce Polycarp (Malyali Catholic Mother) and Anil Arora (Punjabi Father).
Malika completed her secondary education at Swami Vivekanand School in Chembur, Mumbai. Malaika Arora pursued her college education from Jai Hind College, Churchgate but could not complete her studies due to professional commitments. Malaika lived in Borla Society, Chembur (Mumbai) opposite Basant Talkies before starting her modelling career.
Malaika started her career as an MTV India VJ and then entered the modelling world. She appeared in a very famous Pop Song titled 'Gur Naal Ishq Mitha'.
She got her Bollywood break with Mani Ratnam's Dil Se in 1998 where she appeared in the famous Chaiyya Chaiyya song opposite Shah Rukh Khan. In the same year, Malaika married Bollywood actor-director-producer Arbaaz Khan whom she met during a coffee ad shoot. Together they have a son, Arhaan, born on 9 November 2002.
In 2010, she featured in the item number "Munni Badnaam Hui" in the film Dabangg, which was produced by her husband Arbaaz Khan.
Malaika has also appeared on various dance shows on TV as a judge.
Malaika and Arbaz Khan are not separated and their marriage has come to an end. They are not officially divorced yet. It was rumored that Malaika was dating a much younger Arjun Kapoor. Interestingly Arjun Kapoor was dating Salman Khan's brother Arpita Khan and Arjun used to visit their house frequently where he met Malaika Arora Khan.
Karan Johar took a jibe at Malaika Arora Khan on India''s Got Talent recently. Karan said, “Young ladkon ke peeche bhagna band kar do.” (Stop running behind young boys.) He mentioned this when Malaika asked one of the contestants to write her name on ice while skating. Although, he jokingly said that his statement did make sense in the given scenario.
