"Pakistan is not safe for Women" - says Lollywood actress Meera. She is currently in USA and spoke with JhakaasMovies.com.

Born in Lahore, Pakistan as Irtiza Rubab, she is known by her Filmi name 'Meera' in Pakistan's film industry. Meera works in Lollywood (Film industry of Lahore) as a lead actress. She is also a presenter on a TV show and is actively involved in charitable causes.

Meera is often mocked for her broken English, but the effort she makes to converse in English is commendable, knowing the fact that English isn't her main language.

Meera shot to fame in Pakistan in late 90s after she won an award for her role in Khilona, a Pakistani movie made in 1997. She made her debut in Bollywood with Mahesh Bhatt's Nazar in 2005. The movie didn't do well at the Box Office. She worked in Kasak and Paanch Ghantey Mein Paanch Crore, but that was it. Post these 3 movies, Meera went into oblivion.
