It has been Akshay Kumar's dream for quite some time now to launch an app dedicated to the brave Indian soldiers who fight day and night to ensure we live safely. Akshay has always been at the forefront when it comes to social causes. He has, in the past, donated a huge sum of money to the families of slain Indian soldiers. Not only that, he also holds a record for being the highest tax-paying Bollywood celebrity. Akshay Kumar has now taken a step further to show his support for our nation and fulfill his dreams. Akshay launched a mobile android app named Bharat Ke Veer. This app will allow Indians to donate money to families of deceased Indian soldiers. The idea of the app came from Akshay Kumar three months ago.
The website called bharatkeveer.gov.in was launched at Delhi's Vigyan Bhawan by Home Minister Rajnath Singh with Akshay Kumar by his side. Using the portal, anybody can donate up to a maximum of Rs 15 lakh to families of martyred soldiers and officers belonging to the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs).
Interestingly, Akshay Kumar's father was an officer of the Indian Army. Bharat Ke Veer App has Army Heroes and their extra ordinary tales of bravery. Far from home and loved ones, these heroes sacrifice their own lives so that the entire nation can sleep in peace. The stories of their courage and passion are larger than life. Read on and be inspired by such army heroes as they are legends whose tales will make your chests swell with pride.
