Miss India and Miss Asia Pacific 2000, Dia Mirza, has been appointed as UN Environment's Goodwill Ambassador for India.
Bollywood actress and former Miss India Asia Pacific, Dia Mirza, has been appointed UN Environment's Goodwill Ambassador for India. Dia Mirza will work closely with the United Nations to spread the message on priority areas including clean air, clean seas, wildlife protection and climate change.
"I am deeply humbled and motivated to serve nature in my new role as UN Environment Goodwill Ambassador for India. Committed to protect, secure and strengthen the rich treasures that nature provides us all!", said Dia on her Twitter handle.
Dia has joined other accomplished and dedicated past and present UN Goodwill Ambassadors, including UN Environment’s Li Binging, Gisele Bündchen and Don Cheadle, and others such as Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Angelina Jolie, Katy Perry and Emma Watson.
