Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan impressed us with their cute chemistry in Piku, a movie that received critical acclaim. The two will be seen again in a biopic on Sapna Didi, a mafia queen of the 80s Mumbai, Rahima Khan.

The film will be directed by Honey Trehan and produced by Vishal Bhardwaj and Prernaa Arora. The shooting will commence in January. In an interview to Indian Express, Prernaa Arora shared the details about the project. She said, "“Vishal sir is in China I believe. He is coming back soon and we will be gearing up for the film. We have preps and recee going on. January end we will hit the floors with the film. We don’t have a title yet but it is a fictional thriller. Deepika will start prepping up after Padmavati. There have been interactions between her and Vishal sir and also between him and Irrfan. Both have had readings with him. Right now, Deepika is busy with Padmavati but I am really looking forward to working with her".
