CBFC sends 'Padmavati' back without certification because of 'incomplete application'.

Things seem to be getting worse for Padmavati. First the Karni Sena's threat to the crew and second the silence of the government on the whole issue. Add to that, now the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has sent the movie back to its makers, the reason for the same being incomplete application by the makers. Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming Bollywood movie Padmavati hasn't been certified as of now.

As per reports, the film was submitted for certification last week to the CBFC who examined the documents and conveyed to the makers that their application was incomplete. The makers must rectify and send it back to the CBFC for review and certification. The development has also been confirmed by Ajit Andhare, COO Viacom 18 Motion Pictures

Padmavati is scheduled to release on December 1, 2017 and stars Shahid Kapoor as Maharaja Ratan Singh, Deepika Padukone as Padmavati and Ranveer Singh as Alauddin Khilji.
