#1. Hum Aapke Hain Kaun (1994): Family movies and Sooraj R. Barjatya go hand-in-hand and Hum Aapke Hain Kaun is one of the biggest blockbusters that celebrates Indian weddings, relationships, family values and above all, love. This Diwali, let's revisit Prem and Nisha's love story and dance to the tunes of 'Didi Tera Dewar Deewana'.

#2. Baghban (2003): Amitabh Bachchan's stellar performance in Baghban is worth a million bucks. A poignant story on Indian parents and their desire to feel loved by their children complete the essence of this film. If you haven't thanked your parents for their unconditional love, make Diwali the perfect occasion to do so.

#3. Bawarchi (1972): Family conflicts and politics take a different route in this laugh-riot of a film called Bawarchi. Let this Diwali be the day to ponder upon Rajesh Khanna's golden words that beautifully sum up the meaning of life, "It is simple to be happy but so difficult to be simple".

#4. Baton Baton Mein (1979): The chemistry shared between Amol Palekar and Tina Munim (Ambani) in this movie is cuteness overload. With an amazing cast ensemble, Rajesh Roshan's evergreen music and Basu Chatterjee's love for simplicity in his storytelling combine to make this movie one of the classics ever. Why not do a 'Uthe Sabke Kadam, Dekho Rum-pum-pum' this Diwali?

#5. Khoobsurat (1980): Much like the title, the story is a beautiful tribute to life. Rekha's candidness, Dina Pathak's grim expressions and Ashok Kumar's jolly attitude together build a story that has drama, oodles of comedy and romance. Why not play Hrishikesh Mukherjee's feel-good Khoobsurat one more time this festive season?
