Bollywood Celebrates Wrestler Sakshi's Victory in Olympics

23 year old Sakshi Malik has won the first medal for India at the Rio Olympics. Bollywood is celebrating her victory on social media.

23 y.o. Sakshi Malik has made India proud by winning a bronze medal at Rio Olympics. She is the first Indian female wrestler to win a medal at the Olympics. Sakshi Malik was born in Rohtak, Haryana on 3rd September 1992. She had previously won silver medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, and bronze medal at the 2015 Asian Wrestling Championships in Doha.

She will walk away with the following awards for the bronze medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics:
INR2 crore (US$300,000) from the Government of Haryana, in addition to a state land grant.
INR50 lakh (US$74,000) from the Indian Railways, as its employee.
INR20 lakh (US$30,000) from the Indian Olympic Association.
INR15 lakh (US$22,000) from the JSW Group
INR1.01 lakh (US$1,500) from Salman Khan

She is destined for stardom and we congratulate her on this outstanding achievement. Bollywood is also not behind in celebrating her victory. Bollywood celebraties have taken to social media to send their congratulatory message to Sakshi Malik.

Actor Mohit Raina tweeted that Sakshi made us all proud.

Aamir Khan congratulated Sakshi Malik on her achievement. Interestingly, Aamir Khan's upcoming movie Dangal is also based on wrestling.

Manoj Bajpayee congratulated Sakshi Malik and said that the entire nation is rejoicing on her achievements.

Bollywood actor Ritesh Deshmukh posted a photo of Sakshi Malik with the Indian flag and captioned "and the Indian flag flies high".

Director Karan Johar posted a pic of Sakshi sand tweeted "The innocent smile of achievement and our smile is of immense pride.....#SakshiMalik is the hope for the future.."

Abhishek Bachchan woke up this morning and wasted no time in posting a congratulatory message to Sakshi Malik on Twitter.

The beautiful Huma Malik also congratulated our Bronze Medalist.

Bollywood actress Diana Penty also congratulated Sakshi.
