International Yoga Day 2016 is celebrated on June 21 across the world. The declaration came after the call for the adoption of June 21st as International Day of Yoga by the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi during his address to United Nations General Assembly on September 27, 2014.

Yoga originated in India and aimed at training the consciousness for a state of perfect spiritual insight and tranquility. It includes the use of body postures to attain a variety of goals including simple meditation, enhanced breathing control, improved lifestyle and transformation of body, mind and soul.

Although International Yoga Day is new, Yoga itself has been practiced for over 5000 years since its development by the Indus-Sarasvati civilization in Northern India.

Benefits of Yoga:

1. Relieves Stress: By practicing Yoga, you will be able to deal with stress very effectively. Along with training your body, Yoga also trains your mind and lets you see a larger picture and act from integrity rather than freaking out. You also need to be incommunicado with no access to Phones and other communication devices for an hour or so.

2. Flexibility: Most of the Yoga Postures, also known as Asanas include one or more spinal twists to help loosen a number of joints that make up your spine. This helps your body become flexible.

3. Sculpt muscles: Yoga uses the weight of your own body to build mass and strength and this helps sculpt your muscles.

4. Calms your Mind: Yoga leads to a better concentration as you work your way through each pose. The calmness you get through a 60 minutes Yoga session lasts for the entire day.

5. Smell Better: Exhaling and Sweating help get rid of toxins during the Yoga session and afterwards you sweat will smell sweeter.

6. Have better sex: The best you to enhance your sexual performance is to translate all those relaxation and breathing techniques from Yoga into better & longer sex.
