On the 11th anniversary of 26/11 attacks, Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan paid tribute to the martyrs and victims of the heinous terror strike by reciting a special poem.

The '26/11 Stories of Strength' memorial event was attended by politicians including Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh along with Union Minister of Roads, Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari, who talked about the new measures taken to strengthen security, and also paid tribute to the heroes and martyrs of the 26/11 attacks. BJP MLA Ashish Shelar, and BJP spokesperson Shaina NC were also present.

Among many celebrities spotted were other members of the Bachchan family including Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan Nanda, besides composer Anu Malik and author Shobhaa De.

Bachchan's enthralling performance marked the grand finale of the event. He was backed by the Shiamak Davar Dance Company. The performance received a standing ovation from the 2000-plus audience.

Among those who performed at the memorial event were The Maharashtra Police Pipe Band, The Indian Navy band, Kavita Krishnamurthy, L. Subramaniam, Rekha Bharadwaj, renowned conductor of Symphony Orchestra of India Zane Dalal, singer Harshdeep Kaur, Mahesh Kale, Shilpa Rao, Divya Kumar and Shiamak Davar Dance Company.
