Indian actor Amitabh Bachchan now has over 26 million followers on Twitter, making him the 2nd most followed celebrity in India; Narendra modi has over 28 million followers as of April 6, 2017.

Amitabh Bachchan joined Twitter in 2010 and on achieving this feat he expressed his excitement through a tweet. He Tweeted, "And it has arrived...The magical figure of 26 million followers !! Thank you Twitter for my intolerance," Bachchan tweeted.

Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan has over 24 million followers and stands at number 52 worldwide.
