Befikre: Worst Performing Aditya Chopra's Directorial Venture

Befikre had an average first weekend of Approx Rs. 34.50 Crore and could become Aditya Chopra's worst performing directorial venture since DDLJ.

According to BoxOfficeIndia, "Befikre had an average weekend of 34.50 crore nett apprx but the sort of trend such multiplex films need over the weekend was not there. There was growth on Saturday and Sunday but not the sort which would make you confident of a good hold over the weekdays. The weekend should have been around 10% higher from the opening it took."

We all expected an Aditya Chopra movie to be different from the rest of the junk that YRF has been churning out lately. We expected too much, because when you watch the movie, barring a few scenes, you don't really feel that you are watching a movie directed by Aditya Chopra. The dialogues are horrible. Take for instance Ranveer Singh's act as a stand-up comedian in the opening, his jokes about love and mutual funds and married men's look were so atrociously boring and outdated that we couldn't stop but laugh at the stupidity of direction. Ranveer Singh fails to impress us with his poor comic timing. At times, he gets on to our nerves and comes across as "Notice me..i am here" kinda guy. We only hope that he brings some maturity in his acting. He was good in a serious role as Bajirao but this one in Befikre leaves a lot to desire.

The weekend business of the film is as follows.

Friday - 10,25,00,000
Saturday 11,50,00,000
Sunday 12,50,00,000 apprx

TOTAL - 34,25,00,000 apprx
