Badrinath Ki Dulhania has emerged the biggest opener in overseas for Varun Dhawan. The movie has managed to impress the audience and critics alike. It started off really well as it collected Rs. 12.25 Crores on its first day. Due to the festive extended weekend, it managed to collect over Rs. 43.05 crores on the weekend. Overall the movie has collected over Rs. 62.65 crores nett (87.71 crores gross) at the domestic box office.

The film has performed well overseas as well. Badrinath Ki Dulhania now stands with a collection of Rs. 105.71 crores at the worldwide box office.

Badrinath Ki Dulhania is a sequel to Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania that was released in 2014. The movie had grossed Rs. 33 crores in its opening weekend and the sequel has certainly performed better than HSKD.

Amongst this year’s releases, the film became fourth highest opening weekend grosser.
