Commonwealth Games Gold medalist Babita Kumari Phogat to make her acting debut with &TV'S 'Badho Bahu'.

Commonwealth Gold Medalist Babita Kumari Phogat is ready to make her debut on the small screen with &TV's show titled Badho Bahu. Babita won the gold medal in 2014 Commonwealth Games. She also won a silver medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games and a bronze medal at the 2012 World Wrestling Championships. Babita became the third and final entry from India in the women's wrestling for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. She represented India along with her cousin Vinesh Phogat. She qualified for the Rio Games after her opponent failed a doping test in the qualifying tournament and the quota was given to India.

"I am excited about appearing on Badho Bahu. I liked the concept of a father-in-law encouraging his bahu's talent — it's progressive. Personally, I wouldn't want to give up on wrestling; I strongly believe that a girl shouldn't feel any less than a man and should strive to create a mark for herself", said Babita to a TV new channel.

Aamir Khan brought to us the story of two sisters Geeta and Babita Phogat in last year's Bollywood blockbuster movie 'Dangal'. Geeta is Babita's elder sister and was seen in the show Khatron Ke Khiladi recently.
