Thithi (the final funeral celebration, 11 days after a death) is an award winning Kannada language movie directed by Ram Reddy consisting of a cast of non-professional actors from villages in the Mandya district of Karnataka, being released across India with subtitles.
The Trailer shows an old man in a village ceaselessly blabbering at people who pass by but none of them take any offense to his constant jabbering and mind their own business. This central character named 'Chennaveeregowda' (known as Century Gowda for he has lived a 100 years) dies. The plot further is about how the next three generations of Century Gowda react to the death.
Century Gowda’s eldest son, Gadappa is an old man who spends most his time roaming around the village fields. His son, Thamanna, plots to illicitly sell Century Gowda's land even though it legally belongs to his father. Thamanna’s son, Abhi, relentlessly pursues a shepherd girl while shrugging his responsibilities.
This film has garnered positive reviews from every critic. According to TimesofIndia.com, the film is a must watch. It states that the film follows everyday emotions like greed, lust and gluttony, while showing us a peek into the minds and lives of the surviving three generations in Century Gowda's family.

Thithi (English: Funeral) is a 2016 Indian Kannada drama film co-written and directed by Raam Reddy. Consisting of a cast of non-professional actors from villages in the Mandya district of Karnataka, the film is a light-hearted story about three generations of men reacting to the death of their 101-year old patriarch. It is an Indian-American co-production, jointly produced by Pratap Reddy from Prspctvs Productions and Sunmin Park from Maxmedia.
