Amitabh Bachchan Remembers Late M Karunanidhi: Time When He Received His First National Award

Former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi died in Chennai. Kauvery Hospital declared him dead at 6.10 pm on Tuesday, August 7. His death has come as an unbearable loss to Indian politics and especially for Tamil Nadu which is yet to recover from the loss of another beloved politician - J.Jayalalithaa.

DMK chief M Karunanidhi – who was the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu for five terms, breathed his last yesterday and the whole country mourned his death. The 94-year-old political heavyweight was admitted in the hospital after he contracted urinary tract infection. He passed away at 6:10 pm. The statement from the hospital stated, “Despite the best possible efforts by our team of doctors and nurses to resuscitate him, he failed to respond.” Everyone mourned the loss and Amitabh Bachchan was no exception. He revealed how he received his first National Award from the leader. In a tweet he wrote,
