Gauri Shinde is a critically acclaimed director. She made her directorial debut with Sridevi starrer English Vinglish. Her husband R. Balki is also a director and he has made movies like Cheeni Kum & Paa.
Gauri has roped in 50 year old Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan and 23 year old Alia Bhatt for her upcoming movie titled Dear Zindagi (Dear Life). The movie also features Ali Zafar, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Kunal Kapoor and Angad Bedi. The movie is about an unusual love story. The principal photography on the film has already been completed in May. The movie is scheduled to release on November 25, 2016.
Gauri Shinde has repeated English Vinglish music director Amit Trivedi for her upcoming movie too. Dear Zindagi is produced by Gauri Khan, Karan Johar and R. Balki and will distributed by Fox Star Studios.
