Shivaay was made on a budget of Rs. 105 Crore while Ae Dil Hai Mushkil was made on a budget of Rs. 70 Crore.

This is the hit that Ranbir Kapoor desperately needed. It puts him back in the big league along with Anushka Sharma. Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil continued its good run on Tuesday with a 30% apprx drop from the big holiday with collections of 12.50 crore nett apprx. According to BoxOfficIndia.com, the film was doing well at city multiplexes from day one (barring Sunday due to Diwali puja) but the last two days has seen the film perform well in mass belts due to the holiday period. Although the figures in these markets are not as high as Shivaay they are still very good for this type of film. The film has collected over 64 crore nett in five days which is a solid total though the first test will be Wednesday and then again on Friday. The first five day business of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is as follows.

Friday - 13,04,00,000
Saturday - 12,50,00,000
Sunday - 8,75,00,000
Monday - 17,75,00,000
Tuesday 12,50,00,000

TOTAL - 64,54,00,000

ADHM will soon cross the Rs. 100 Crore mark.

Shivaay on the other hand also continued its good run at the box office. It did well again on Tuesday with its business comfortably going over 10 crore nett and it collected more than it did on day one thanks to the partial holiday for Bhai Dooj. The collections of the film were very good in the Central markets and Gujarat and good in North and Bihar. The five day total is over 50 crore nett and the film has done more business in the last two days than it did over the weekend. The first five day business of Shivaay is as follows.

Friday - 9,15,00,000
Saturday - 8,25,00,000
Sunday - 6,50,00,000
Monday - 15,75,00,000
Tuesday - 11,00,00,000

TOTAL - 50,95,00,000
