"Titli" actor Shashank Arora took a pause from acting and went back to music during the lockdown. He has released his new track "Kya (iss gaane ka naam hai)", which is his first electronic number.

Talking about the song, he said: "It is my first electronic track. A reminder of the simpler Indian electronica which I never had as a child, so I had to make it. The album cover is by my sister Chandni Arora who's a painter in Delhi."

"I usually make a lot of acoustical sounds with the ukulele or flute and vocals (like 'Bikhre') but off late I feel like learning and creating some electronica and hip-hop with a classical twist," added the artiste, who had sung "Bikhre" for the 2019 film "Moothon".

As for acting, Shashank is excited about "Gangster Newton" and Dibakar Banerjee's next film.

"Since production is paused, thought I'd take some time and get back to music and carpentry," said Shashank, who has also tried folk and soul music genres as a singer.
