Neerja

Sonam Kapoor starrer Neerja won many awards and Sonam also received a special mention at the National Film Awards. Sonam Kapoor is famous for her poker face expressions and bad acting skills, but her role was actually appreciated by the audience. However, Sonam was not the first choice for the role of Neerja. Alia Bhatt was considered for the role first, but before the makers could approach her, Atul Kasbekar (one of the producers) claimed that Alia Bhatt was a bit too short to play an air-hostess and so the role went to Sonam Kapoor.  Alia could have taken the movie to a whole new level with her acting skills though.

Raabta

This is something we are happy about. This mindless movie was actually offered to Alia Bhatt first. However, Alia Bhatt kind of sensed that the movie would bomb at the box-office and so she made excuses like date issues and turned it down. It was also reported that Alia was not keen on working with a lesser known actor like Sushant Singh Rajput. The role then went to Kriti Sanon and she looked great with SSR, but the movie bombed at the box-office.

Golmaal Again

Why Alia Why!!! Golmaal Again was a fantastic movie, however Parineeti's part wasn't that great because of her poor acting skills. When Rohit Shetty approached Alia Bhatt for Golmaal Again, she was very excited to do the movie but backed out at the last moment due to the tiff between Karan Johar and Ajay Devgan. Alia is considered to be extremely close to Karan Johar and didn't want to upset a good friend by working with Ajay Devgan and so she had to turn down the offer.
