Baazigar (1993)
Baazigar is one movie that shaped the career of Shah Rukh Khan. SRK, however was not the first choice in Baazigar. In fact, Shahrukh was not even the second choice. The role was first offered to Salman Khan and post his rejection, it was then offered to Akshay Kumar. Akshay rejected the film thinking that a negative role would not do any good to his image and stardom and so the role went to SRK and the rest is history.
Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (2013)
Farhan Akhtar wasn't the first choice for the role of Milkha. Both Director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and Milkha Singh himself, wanted Akshay to play the lead, however Akshay Kumar was not too impressed by the script and turned it down. The role then went to Farhan Akhtar and the movie went on to become a commercial success.

Race was a commercial success at the box-office, however the role of Saif Ali Khan was first offered to Akshay Kumar, who for some reason turned it down.
