Saif Ali Khan met Amrita Singh for the first time on the sets of Rahul Rawail's movie Bekhudi. Bekhudi was supposed to be the debut movie of Saif Ali Khan, however after completing the first shooting schedule of the film, director Rahul Raai thought that Saif was too unprofessional. He then replaced Saif with debutante Kamal Sadanah. Saif Ali Khan met actress Amrita Singh on the sets and they got married in October 1991. Bekhudi was released in 1992.
