The King Khan of Bollywood - Shah Rukh Khan, got married  to Gauri Chibber in 1991 and their bond got stronger with every passing year. Not many of us are aware of their interesting love story. Their love story dates back to the year 1984 when everything started.

Shah Rukh saw Gauri Chibber for the first time at a common friend’s party in 1984, when he was only 18 years old; and it was love at first sight - atleast for SRK. SRK laid eyes on Gauri when she was dancing with a guy in the party. Being extremely shy (that time), he was extremely hesitant to ask her for a dance. Somehow Shahrukh gathered the courage to ask Gauri for a dance. Gauri didn't show any interest in him and turned down his offer by saying that she was waiting for her boyfriend. This was just an excuse made by Gauri to get rid of SRK. In reality, she didn't have any boyfriend and was actually waiting for her brother who was also there at the party.

Shah Rukh told in an interview, that later when he came to know about this, he called her and said, “mujhe bhi apna bhai samjho.” And, this was the start of their beautiful relationship. They started meeting each other and soon became good friends. Their friendship blossomed into love. SRK, however, was extremely possessive about Gauri and didn't let her keep her hair open or talk to other boys. This miffed Gauri so much that she left for Mumbai with her friends without informing Shahrukh.

That was the moment when SRK realized how much he loved her and narrated the entire incident to his mother. His mother gave Rs. 10,000 to help him out. SRK flew down to Mumbai in search of Gauri, who was incommunicado at that time (there were no cellphones back then). He looked for her at every nook and corner of the city, but had no luck for a long time. One day he found her at a beach and both looked at each other and broke down crying and hugging each other. That was the time they both realized that they could not live without each other and decided to get married.

Gauri's parent did not approve of her relationship with SRK, because he was from a different religion and was going to join Bollywood. Gauri and SRK went through a lot of struggle to get married with their parents blessings, but somehow SRK managed to convince her father. They got married on October 25, 1991. It was a Hindu marriage ceremony.

They have 3 children now: son Aryan Khan (born on 12th November, 1997), daughter Suhana Khan (born on 22nd May, 2000) and son AbRam Khan (born on 27th May 2013, via surrogacy).
